What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is a natural skincare business with Organic Pure Ingredients up to around 85%. I searched for ingredients for many years before I decided on the perfect synergy producing the effect I wanted. I even went to Peru and Ecuador several times to learn about their naturally Pure and sustainable plants and trees. My customers are mostly women between 30-70 who want a product that is reasonably priced effective and unadulterated formulas.
Tell us about yourself
I am an herbalist, or at least I can say I love the plant world. It is so full of vitamins and minerals that are hard to get from store-bought food. I took this love and incorporated it into my skin line in 2011.
What motivates me is I love to make products. I love making a product that I am proud of and feel I am offering something special to my customers. If you look at my ingredients, you will see their uniqueness.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Honestly, no huge accomplishment. It has been a slow but steady process. I guess it is an accomplishment that I am still in business after 11 years and have a slew of happy customers.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I am not super great at social media or even selling my product. I love making the products. The marketing has always been a hurdle. And in case you have not noticed there is an enormous amount of products to choose from.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I would find a mentor that knows business, partner up with a social media expert and keep in line with your expenses. In other words, don't borrow money unless you have proven success along the way.
