What's your business, and who are your customers?
Zeitler Design is a branding & website design studio. We work with big & small businesses to create smart, dope design with quantifiable results.
Tell us about yourself
I've always had a deep interest in brand design and started peddling badly designed logos in high school. My father, so sweet, even had business cards printed and a sign made with my crazy design for his company. That was 18 years ago, and seeing my designs come to life has never gotten old. I love helping business elevate their brand, and nothing thrills me more than when they grow as a result of strategic design. My driving force is my family - I have three young kids and a wonderful husband who is a beast in his own field. I want to make them proud!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Designing a podcast cover for UNICEF was a definite pinch-me moment. I also had the opportunity to create print collateral for NFL & Team USA products. It was another moment where I had to check and make sure I wasn't dreaming.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Business ebbs and flows, and it's so hard to not base your self-worth on how many new inquiries you have. For instance, summer is always a little quieter because my clients are on vacation, and like clockwork, August is a banner month. But every July, I get a little nervous when I really should just go to the beach and enjoy the downtime.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- The client experience is everything - you want to surprise and delight them wherever you can.
- Know your worth and don't charge less.
- Lean into your zone of genius.
