What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a community-inspired yoga/dance studio that caters to students looking to open the door to a much deeper yoga practice that leads to balance, health, harmony, wellness, and peace of mind.
Tell us about yourself
My partner Jenn and I want to share the gift of yoga with our community and all who wish to find the benefits of its practice. We work to bring the best instructors and a variety of classes for students of all levels.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment is bringing the community together in wellness.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is making sure that we are always there for our clients.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
My tips for anyone starting a business is to make sure that if you are renting a space, you have a solid contract so that when you invest in creating the space of your dreams, you do not lose it when the landlord decides to not renew your lease and do not pay more than you can make. Rents are extremely high, and we must not overextend ourselves in hopes that we can make it. Make sure you have enough money in the bank to cover your expenses even if you make no income for the first year. To grow your business, go the extra mile to make it the best business it can possibly be because word of mouth is the best advertisement!
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
It is very hard to have a small business without full commitment, so be ready to give it your heart and soul and be wary of larger businesses with deep pockets!
