Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and fitness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kara Thorsen, Founder of Yoga Équanimité, located in Naples, FL, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is helping people find themselves. When people come to yoga, it’s for various reasons. When they stay with yoga, they become seekers. We practice together to have our words match our deeds, and our deeds match our will.
Tell us about yourself
I came to yoga with scoliosis, so it was a mind/body connection/disconnect that I was searching for.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Watching how yoga inseminates a life from shaky ground to firmness.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The isolation is the hardest for me.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be sure of what you want.
- Stay focused and reevaluate often.
- Find meaning.
