What's your business, and who are your customers?

Yemi's Studio is a recording studio owner who works with many different genres and companies to get their product sounding professional and ready for sharing or distribution. Most of the clientele are artists who are working on projects, poets or comedians, podcasters, and people who are just looking for a fun time in the studio.

Tell us about yourself

Music has always been a part of my life. I started learning about audio after my first visit to a major recording studio. I was hooked on it, and it has been a major passion of mine since. When meeting other business owners and seeing how their businesses grow, doing what they love, and being successful is a big motivation for me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Having new clients come into the studio is always a good feeling in the studio. It lets you know that you are doing something right. The same thing to returning clients. Keeping them happy and building relationships with them have been a joy in Yemi's Studio.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Marketing is a difficult part of Yemi's studio as a business. It's something that we're trying to get better at every day and improves every year.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Make sure your business is something you would be passionate about. Nobody will do the job as you do, so get it done. Also, just dive in and give it a shot. If you are serious and passionate about your future business, be patient, and you'd be surprised at how well it goes.
