Create an Amazingly POWERful Life - Camille Stone

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Camille Stone, Founder of Written in Stone, located in Rossville, GA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Life & POWER Coach. I coach women to overcome challenges, trauma, and abuse while reaching their own level of success. Typically, my audience is women ages 25-65+, and even if they have not experienced abuse, every woman has those blocks that she desires to overcome so she can have the life she deserves. P.S. POWER is Purposeful Ongoing Wellness Energy Regimen. :)

Tell us about yourself

My early days were that of an abused child. Abuse will always affect our important life decisions. My decisions landed me in abusive relationships - one of which was a 20-year marriage. As I stood before a mirror one day, pregnant with my third son, wearing old baggy sweatpants, holey t-shirt, hair piled high on my head, no makeup on, crying my eyes out, I said aloud, “God, if I could just use my story to help other women, I could spend the rest of my life doing it.” And it was as if God said, “Finally, you got it.” That day led to me writing and publishing a book, “This Woman’s Worth,” and becoming a certified Life Coach.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Witnessing my client’s ah-ha moments is the greatest accomplishment always! Some clients start a business, others heal from trauma, and some create their idea of personal greatness.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Entrepreneurship is one of the most challenging paths in life. There have been many days on this journey where I wanted to quit, and any sane person would have. Luckily, I’ve never been accused of being sane, so... here we are.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Keep Strong Faith - if God put that dream in your heart, it’s already yours.
  2. Don’t Quit - Quitters never win, Winners never quit. (I stole that one)
  3. Have a Can Do Attitude - because ‘can’t’ never did anything!
