What's your business, and who are your customers?
WomenOwnedBiz is a social-purpose business supplying a free online directory to women-owned businesses around the globe. We collaborate with businesses to help them diversify their supply chains.
Tell us about yourself
Many businesses want to set and meet corporate responsibility goals but aren't sure how to get started or where to find diverse businesses. We help build these relationships so businesses can see how small changes in their spending can help change people's lives.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to connect with so many amazing women business owners, hear their stories, and help support each other has been awesome!!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
These last 2+ years have been especially hard with COVID. Women have had huge challenges with work and family, and the fatigue that has come from that has been really hard on everyone.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Believe in your product or service.
- Build a network to support and be supported.
- Don't dwell on the "No's" and celebrate the victories, large and small.
