What's your business, and who are your customers?
I support ambitious, time-crunched women who seek clarity with their money and want to learn how to invest for a secure financial future. My clients are typically small business owners or young professionals who know they have the ability to create wealth but don't want to place blind faith and trust in someone else to help them achieve it.
Tell us about yourself
I spent 15 years as a financial executive and realized that I could impact significant positive change if I were to help women directly. Four years ago, I became accredited as a financial counselor to serve this important segment of women. It's their personal finance wins each and every day that motivates and inspires me every day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As a business owner, I appreciate my adaptability and tenacity. Not everything works out the way you planned, so it's important to embrace it, learn from it, and move on.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Prioritizing my efforts! It's easy to get caught up trying to do everything for everyone, so being clear about what the end outcome is and what I seek to achieve, is what keeps me focused.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- I'd be remiss as a financial coach not to touch on income! Ensure you have at least one year's worth of fixed living expenses to depend on before going all in with your company.
- Test the market before launching anything and ensure you're meeting the needs of your clients
- Don't fear failure.
