What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a children’s summer camp. We offer figure skating, hockey, water sports, adventure, and leadership programs. Our customers are children 4-17.
Tell us about yourself
I love to help children learn and grow. I love skating and teaching skating. I love the outdoors and being active. I love making healthy food. I love stories around the campfire. And I absolutely love creating a space where children feel safe to be themself. So owning a camp seem to be a great fit :)
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Together with family and friends, we built a camp from the ground up. We built the building; we built the programs; we built our own character development program, “The Top 8 Skills for the Game of Life.”
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
- Long hours.
- Keeping up with new technology.
- Keeping up with social media.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Pick something you are passionate about and believe in.
- Don’t be afraid of hard work. Enjoy it.
- Keep putting one foot in front of the other and be grateful for every small step forward.
