What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a 2x Olympian and Mental Toughness Coach. I help athletes make sense of what's going on in their heads, cut through the noise, and unleash their inner tiger. I teach them WHAT to do with HOW they FEEL, so they show up with confidence and courage when it matters most. And because it takes a village, I also work with their parents and coaches.

Tell us about yourself

I became a Mental Toughness Coach because I sat helplessly on the sideline, watching our team choke on the biggest day, the biggest stage of their lives. They played not to lose rather than playing to win. I didn't know how to help them handle their fear of losing. I'm motivated every day because athletes are struggling every day. So are their parents and coaches. "When you know better, you do better." I'm motivated to help them know better.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Serving clients from Olympians to 7-year-old hockey players. Mental Toughness helps people change their lives, forever.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Starting from zero, knowing nothing about building a business, and having no capital to hire people, so you end up doing it the hard way. The hard way: doing it all yourself and managing all the bumps in the road.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Face your deepest fears.
  2. Grow your courage.
  3. It will never be easy, so learn to handle hard better.
