Lincroft Soap Co., we make organic, handcrafted, artisanal body care products.

Tell us about yourself

We’ve always wanted a family-owned business that could provide high-quality products to our community. My wife and I both work full-time, have three kids, and are very busy in the community. It’s not easy navigating everything, but it’s time well spent. We involve our kids in the events as well.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Navigating the ups and downs and prioritizing what’s important. Sometimes you have to know when to take your foot off the gas, reset, and refocus.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Figuring out when to make it more than a side business and balancing that with the responsibilities and commitments of running a family, which itself is a small business!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Less is more - focus on getting good at one thing first.
  2. Funding - self-fund yourself and don’t get into debt.
  3. Marketing - social media is fine, but an email list with paying customers and raving fans is more important at the beginning. Slow growth is fine; take one step every day, and block out the noise.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Enjoy what you do because otherwise, it will not go anywhere, and you’re burnout.
