What's your business, and who are your customers?
Wild Foods specializes in Real Foods from small producers worldwide. We are passionate about ingredients and their story. Food is the most critical aspect of long-term health, which is why quality sourcing is everything. We believe our food system is broken, most nutrition advice is backward, and too many are living with sickness due to confused lifestyle choices. If we don't use it, we don't sell it. That is our Wild Guarantee.
Tell us about yourself
I became obsessed with the quality of the foods I put in my body. I went deep into the sourcing and food rabbit hole. What I found disturbed me. So I started Wild Foods to source the best ingredient in the world for myself. Then I figured out others wanted the same thing.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Selling half of my company, being patient, then repurchasing it after a PE group messed things up for two years.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Cashflow - managing people - thinking long-term - not getting attracted by all the shiny objects - leadership - basically, all of it.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
One product, one core customer, and keep doing that. Figure out how to produce content you care about related to that one core product/mission/belief
