Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Whitney Stuart, founder of Whitness Nutrition, located in Dallas, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Whitness Nutrition is a private practice focused on real food for real joy, for the real busy! I provide functional nutritional counseling for individuals ready to radically improve their health through empowered education and sustainable health changes. Most of my patients are sick of the reaction-based healthcare system. We focus on disease prevention, education, and empowerment to live well with the least amount of medical bandaid possible.

Tell us about yourself

I love helping people. My love language is gift-giving. It feels immensely gratifying to teach individuals who care for their bodies confidently and reduce the burden of disease through food as medicine.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have been voted Dallas' #1 Dietitian since 2019, and I have spent $0 on marketing. I feel lucky to have had patients share their positive experiences with their colleagues!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Enforcing late fees? Ha! Setting boundaries is the hardest for me. Not working all hours of every day.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life.
  2. Surround yourself with individuals smarter and wiser than you.
  3. Never stop learning and stay humble enough to accept failure.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Your practitioner should be positive and empowering; please accept nothing less.
