What's your business, and who are your customers?

WeStrive is an all-in-one platform for Health & Fitness businesses to manage and scale their business. We cater to personal trainers, gym owners, sports teams, physical therapists, and so much more.

Tell us about yourself

I'm from Wenatchee, Washington, and never saw myself becoming a startup CEO. I came home from class in college during my senior year at EWU, and my roommates were writing on our whiteboard saying that "we should start a fitness app." I went from that generic idea, and somehow years later, I'm running an actual company. Thankfully, I'm extremely passionate about fitness but to look back at how this all started is hilarious. Each day I'm continued to be motivated by the amazing feedback/reviews of our users and by the idea that I know we can become the number one health & fitness platform someday.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is definitely failing my first fitness startup (where the idea formed) and finding a way to pivot the business, rebuild, and then scale it to what we have today.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing about being a business owner is the constant responsibility. Everything is under your wing, and you have to make sure that any piece starting from the company's money all the way to a simple daily task is going as planned.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Make sure you have a full plan written out before you go anywhere with it.
Reach out to successful people in that space or in your network to get advice about the first steps.
Watch a ton of YouTube videos and read a lot of books about the process of entrepreneurship.
