What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a web designer for small businesses and holistic entrepreneurs.
Tell us about yourself
I have an MFA in Art Criticism and Writing and an MA in Media Studies. I love working with new technology to design beautiful and useful things. I was introduced to Squarespace when I was teaching writing online and was a yoga instructor. Eventually, I made websites for friends and family. In the last three years, it grew to be the full-service design studio that it is today!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I feel proud to be able to support causes I care about and to serve businesses that bring joy to others!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
It's always a challenge to find your own path and pace and not to let others distract you and detour you from your own intuition and experience.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Grow as you go. There is no one-and-done way to run a business.
- Keep track of your time and numbers to discover what works.
- Choose a business model that makes sense for your life and resources.
