Client-Focused Copy - Wellness Wordshop

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in Wellness Copywriting but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Natalie Gensits, Owner of Wellness Wordshop, located in Woodsboro, MD, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help health and wellness coaches get clients through converting copywriting. I either write for you or coach you to write - in a way that is from the heart and not so sales-y.

Tell us about yourself

I have endured my own wellness journey and dealt with many wellness providers and coaches. I felt called to write a book about healthier eating and did local talks on that topic. Eventually, I felt led to use my talent of writing in the wellness arena, which has brought me to do what I do today! I see that too many health and life coaches come out of school certified but without knowledge about how to market their businesses and I am here to help fill that gap and get them off to a strong start. What motivates me is a passion to connect those who seek wellbeing with those who provide it. Also, I am following God's lead.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping several coaches put what they do in the "right words" to express their deepest desires while being clear to their audience. This gives them more confidence, clarity, and a sense of direction as they get started.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

All the tech stuff and wearing different hats when you would rather just write!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know your ideal client intimately (choose ONE to market to).
  2. It takes grit, persistence, and patience if growing organically without paid ads.
  3. Get two to three paid clients ASAP. Don't be afraid to offer them a discounted price for being your beta users in exchange for their feedback. This allows you to develop something your ideal clients truly need (instead of developing what you think will work) and gives you some income to invest in the things you need to set up your business and to invest in some business coaching.
