What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a Mindfulness Teacher who specializes in Yoga, Meditation, and Reiki. I work with groups, private clients, and corporate clients to help people reduce stress and live more intentionally. I also lead retreats and yoga teacher training abroad which is an amazing experience! I love learning from my students as well as watching them grow. We're forever students, and there's always something we can learn.

Tell us about yourself

I've always been passionate about Mindfulness. It's been a huge part of my healing and my life. Each day I remember that when I teach, lead workshops and training, or work with private clients, I'm making an impact, and I'm also learning more about myself.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Staying in business throughout the pandemic was a huge success. It had its challenges, but I stayed intentional and creative to make it work.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

It can feel isolating at times. It's all you, the ups and downs that come with owning a business are all on you, which can feel intense.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be patient; remember, seeds don't sprout in one day. Keep nourishing yourself and your business; it will grow.
  2. Self-compassion is key; each day is a learning experience.
  3. Be open, but also say no to things that don't align. Stay intentional.
