What's your business, and who are your customers?
We create an aromatic experience for the home and spirit. Handmade soy wax candles scented with phthalate-free fragrance and essential oils for the eco and wellness-minded.
Tell us about yourself
Scent is my passion, and my senses are my guide. I am always inspired by the feelings we associate with scent and constantly dreaming up the scents I want to create so people can enjoy the experience of peace, calm, joy, and nostalgia.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Creating a brand that so many people enjoy, having my candles in so many stores, and having people share on social media how much they love my candles.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Stress, in general- lots of it. I’m always working hard to make things less stressful for myself and acknowledge my limitations.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do what you love, not just for the money, because you love it; that way, you will never give up.
- Don’t look too much at what other people are doing; focus on what makes you unique, and don’t stray from your vision.
- Take care of your health- being a business owner involves incredible stamina- drink water, go for walks, and make sure to get enough sleep, so you’re ready for each day.
