Stock Trading Education You Can Trust - Wall Street Sicarios

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kant Sleep, Founder of Wall Street Sicarios, located in Houston, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a Stock Trading school that teaches our students everything they need to know about trading stocks on the US stock market. Our customers fall into two categories. The first category is people looking for a new career that can provide them with more free time, independence, and the possibility of a much larger income. The second group is people that are looking to challenge themselves mentally, and these are usually very independent individuals who enjoy things like puzzles, chess, poker, and strategy-based games that really utilize their problem-solving skills. They really come from all walks of life.

Tell us about yourself

I was working in the oil field and wanted more free time to spend with my family. I was tired of traveling away from home for work. My best friend told me about a course he took online, so I took the same course, and that is how it all started.

What motivates me is the freedom trading stocks offers. I no longer have to travel for work. I can spend more time with my family and do the things that I really enjoy in life. I am also very motivated by teaching others what I know and helping others to achieve their goals. It feels good to help other people grow and start to find their true passion.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being able to provide my students with the help that I wasn't able to get myself when I started in this industry. I get satisfaction from helping others and giving them advice on how to overcome certain obstacles they may face while learning to trade.

When I was learning to trade stocks, it was very hard for me to get advice, and I remember that it felt very lonely and confusing at times. I don't ever want my students to feel lost or lonely, so I do my best to spend as much time as possible helping them, answering their questions, and coaching them so that they are able to feel comfortable and confident while learning a such intricate skill such as stock trading.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I am a very independent person, so I find it hard to ask for help. This was very difficult starting a business because I never knew all of the elements of running an online business, such as website and graphic design, marketing, copywriting, etc.

I also developed the trading course at Wall Street Sicarios, which was very difficult and time-consuming. I found it very challenging to take the information I knew and develop it into a structured course that could visually explain to a new student how to go from A to Z while not getting confusing or difficult to understand.

To be a business owner, you must be self-motivated. No one is there to hold your hand along the way. No one is there to force you to go to work. You, by yourself, have to make the conscious decision to work each and every day.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Set the correct expectations before starting. Running a business will take a lot of time and dedication on your part. It may also take longer than you imagined to start earning a steady income. Not all businesses succeed, which brings me to my next tip...
  2. If you believe in your business, don't give up on it. Many businesses fail to succeed because people give up on it too early or they do not give it the time it needs to turn a profit. They may have expected things to work out sooner, and when it doesn't, instead of overcoming the obstacle, they simply close up shop. Most of the time, this is because they started with the wrong expectations.
  3. Treat your customers the way you would like to be treated. I see many businesses, especially in my industry, put money over value. Money is often a bad motivator, and many businesses don't value their customers. A business is nothing without its customers. Instead, focus on their needs and make them feel included.
