What's your business, and who are your customers?
W2 Marketing is a boutique social media marketing company that specializes in Social Media Marketing, Branding, and Web Design. We focus on small businesses like local restaurants, e-commerce stores, salons, Airbnbs, and more! If you have an online presence, we got you!
Tell us about yourself
After 15 years of being a professional makeup artist, I decided to pursue another passion, marketing and social media. I began using social media and digital marketing as a business tool when I was working as a makeup artist in Los Angeles, building my first Wix website in 2009. My husband is very tech-savvy and taught me how to use the software. Fast forward to 2018, when I decided to leave makeup, I knew I wanted to help build brands, work in social media, and help market other small businesses like I had been doing for myself all this time. I started out small, having family and friends as my first clients, and was only working a few hours a week. Then the pandemic hit, and my husband and I both saw it as an opportunity to create W2 Marketing and launch our business together. With his knowledge in coding and mine in marketing, we launched it in July, and by 2021 we had over a dozen clients and had hired a few freelancers to help us with the workload. Now in 2022, we are thriving with businesses all around Colorado and the United States! We love what we do, and we can't wait to help other small businesses show up, grow and succeed!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Staying in business 😂 Lol. But seriously, most small businesses fail within the first three years, and here we are going strong and growing at year three! I also truly love seeing businesses flourish!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Turning it off. Burnout is a real thing, no matter how much you love something. I stop working at a certain time daily, and I step away from my phone and focus on my family.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- GO FOR IT!
- When you are setting up your socials, be certain YOU are the owner of your pages, and remember your passwords!
- Don't act off emotions and excitement. Have a plan and execute it!
