What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is VR Success Services - Career and Business Advancement. We specialize in professional branding, marketing, and media services that help our clients stand out as leaders in their industries so they can advance their careers and businesses exponentially.

Tell us about yourself

I started working on my business because I wanted more out of my career, more freedom, more happiness, more creative expression, more financial security, and more joy. I went into it to help others experience more of the above as well, so it was a win-win from the beginning. What keeps me motivated each morning is experiencing my and my client's dreams coming to fruition and watching personal and professional joy, leadership, and empowerment being created where they did not exist prior.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is going all in and trusting my vision fully. I started this as a working single mother of 7 with no help and no money. I know what is possible when we commit to making our dreams come true, and I am very grateful daily I committed to mine.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Staying in a motivated and positive state of mind when things don't work out. Success is never linear; there are numerous ups and downs. It takes plenty of perseverance, determination, and commitment to stay the course and keep growing past the storms.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Focus on aligning with your intended outcomes - don't dwell on the obstacles.
  2. Make sure you establish a solid brand foundation built on trust, integrity, and clarity - it will be what your business stands on for years to come.
  3. Stay committed - regardless of what happens, persevere through it, and you will get to the next level.
