WholisticJourney.Life - Victoria Mellah
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Victoria Mellah, Founder of WholisticJourney.Life, located in Honolulu, HI, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
WholisticJourney.Life includes several different modalities of showing up for yourself that sometimes are overlooked. Including yoga, a hybrid mat, rehabbing chair, and a corporate desk and face. Yoga Nidra, or conscious sleeping. We aren't our best until we get the right amount of rest. And BreatheWorkz™ Couching breathing classes. Everyone, overnight it seems, now understands the profound effect proper breathing and oxygenating your body has on mental clarity, in addition to so many things there isn't enough space here to describe!
Tell us about yourself
I started yoga because I frankly had no other solutions to health issues that wouldn't seem to go away with traditional methods. After years of practicing myself and seeing amazing changes personally, I wanted to share. As my knowledge of different yoga and health modalities grew, so did my desire to share this with others. This recently included the breathing techniques that I have been using for years because of my own personal breathing nuances that covid has exasperated. So now I share this personal practice with my clients too. The beautiful ancient practice of Yoga Nidra is also called conscious sleeping. This is a method of relaxation that takes the mind and body through a restorative journey to better sleep and rest. The three pillars of our WholisticJourney.Life. Breathe Balance Bliss.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is reaching in some manner each yogi where they are in their own space. Offering something that they can take with them in whatever manner to improve their smile, day, perspective, breath, or body. Being voted by yogis as #1 or with 5-star reviews confirms for I may have reached a few people, and for that, I'm humbled and grateful to be a conduit to their betterment!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Knowing and showing up for literally every aspect of running a business, including the services rendered, until you can find the right people to support the business model and planned goals for the business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Balance! Show up first for yourself every day! It's the only way to remain calm, stress-free, vibrant, and fresh for the creativity to flow for the business to be a living organization. And know how to expand your company.
