What's your business, and who are your customers?

VERVE Fitness supplies Strength & Conditioning equipment internationally with our HQ in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Our customers are both home end users as well as commercial/government and universities. VERVE is for EVERYBODY, as we have modular equipment that is made to last, evolving as your fitness levels grow.

Tell us about yourself

My partner and I started the business in 2017 after wanting a career change. We both love to lift and CrossFit. We wanted to have equipment that does it all - looks, functionality, and pricing!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We are proud to have become the highest rated Fitness Equipment Supplier in Australia with the 'go-to' Rack in Australia. We started with zero presence, products, or customers and built a solid brand from scratch five years ago.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

It's hard to find downtime as there is always something that needs to be done! You have to keep nurturing the fire 24/7/365!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Running a business is like a hard workout:

  1. Don't go too hot out of the gate; this is a long game!
  2. Consistency trumps effort every time.
  3. Customer service is what sets a company apart. Treat people well and look after them for repeat business.
