What's your business, and who are your customers?

Veronica Unsigned designs and hand beads custom silk clothing for the women who appreciate the complexity and detail of who we are and our ability to create a life that is fathomable and exciting to wake up to each and every day. Our brand is an inspiration and a reminder that anything is possible, including being adorned in whatever makes us truly feel confident.

Tell us about yourself

I knew I was going to find my passion within a six-month time period, and although I was almost certain it would be leading travel trips/backpacking trips all around the world. I quickly fell into a love for design and beadwork. I have always been attracted to the twenties and the costumes of flapper girls as well as burlesque and the finer silks. I’m motivated by the longevity of work that goes into each piece because it is a representation of life and the patience that is required to truly move through growth with grace. I take each design as an opportunity to lean into the experience of what I am creating, and it helps me to slow down and appreciate the process.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner has come from the wisdom I have gained throughout the expansion of the business and the amazement of how much we can truly learn when we apply ourselves.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The necessity to balance has been the biggest challenge with being a business owner and the ability to be present in every situation.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

I would tell any person who wants to run a business that passion is key. There are so many challenges throughout a business that if you don’t have the passion for what you’re doing, you will get burnt out. Diligence and patience are also major critical factors in creating a business because it is the routine day in and out without expectations of when things will come to fruition that really have to be instilled when building a business.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I believe it is important to really cultivate enjoyment throughout the process of anything we experience/build in life, finding ways to make things more fun and exciting. A big part of my brand is truly inviting people to feel connected and confident in being authentic within their happiness. I believe from this structure; we get to be excited about waking up every single day :).
