What's your business, and who are your customers?

Veteran Charities Initiative has expanded building national and international alliances and partnerships with organizations providing unique benefits, opportunities, services, and resources that enhance the lives of women veterans and those in underserved communities and demographics worldwide. Our expansion includes executive coaching, consulting, and leadership development for students, teams, and professionals.

Tell us about yourself

I am a U.S. Navy Veteran, John Maxwell Coach, Trainer, Speaker, published Author, Court Appointed Special Advocate, Board Member, Facilitator, Moderator, Caregiver, and Mom.

My military training and professional experience have influenced a career spanning three decades and multiple industries, including Cryptology, IT, AI, Accounting & Finance, Construction, Education, Legal, Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Publishing, and Social Services.

Our future generation is what motivates me. My goal, hope, and prayer are to raise up a generation of future leaders that are Resilient, Innovative, Sustainable, and Evaluating, enabling them to RISE to any challenge or circumstance.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being personally recognized by Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, and the Founder of Archewell Foundation for military service and strengthening communities every day and being awarded the Education 2.0 - Outstanding Leadership Award for 2022.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Not having enough hours in the day.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Make SERVING people the priority, not making money the priority, and then the money will naturally follow.
  2. Ask for help.
  3. Involve your family in the process and journey, so they don't feel like you have abandoned them.
