What's your business, and who are your customers?

Vahva Collection is an activewear brand for men and women. Vahva means so much more than apparel. Our goal is to leave a memorable impression and impact on as many people as possible who supports Vahva. Vahva wants to encourage people to start a healthy lifestyle that’s maintainable and turns into a long-term healthy habit. Our customers are Christians who are tired of feeling unhealthy. Not only limited to Christians but also open-minded people who are willing to approach health in a holistic, mindful way.

Tell us about yourself

Vahva Collection is an extension of my passion which is health and fitness. I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Licensed Massage Therapist. Health and fitness was first a hobby which then turned into a passion and lifestyle. I first started to prevent myself from the health issues that run in my family. After furthering my education, I realized how It could impact and change someone’s life, so that’s when It turned into a passion, and I got so interested in learning more. What motivates me each day to do what I do is knowing that there are thousands of people who need my help, including my family. I want to be that person who helps as many people as possible to be healthy.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment so far would be not having any debt! Not rushing the process of building and perfecting the idea I want my business to have. Always working towards a solid foundation with purpose.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is not giving up. Being able to continually believe in your idea. Not letting the joy It brings go away when It gets hard.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

The top three tips I would give are: make sure you are passionate about your business, don’t rush the process, and be willing to take risks to see if a business is really what you want to start/pursue.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

One thing I wish people warned me about was that not everyone would support you, and that includes close people you love.
