What's your business, and who are your customers?
Our business is a husband and wife duo, and we offer Personal Training, Yoga, Coaching, and Retreats to Luxury Resorts in South Florida.
Tell us about yourself
I was a model traveling the world when I learned of yoga to help balance stress and travel. I fell in love and began to get certified so I could also help other people battling stress. I then met my husband, who was one of the top trainers and Miami, and we molded together our theories on movement and breath and created our modality called The Vlaun Method. We now teach it to trainers and on Retreats and are still traveling the world but have managed to find the Art of Wellness.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment would be when we were in a large story in the Wall Street Journal as helping change the minds, bodies, and spirits of top Elite clients, and they go and change their workplace….. spreading Health and Wellness within the corporations and groups as well as employing a team that spreads the knowledge across the world.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is knowing when to grow larger or stay minimal. The ebbs and flows of life (for example, a hurricane or COVID) can make owning your own business and being responsible for others challenging.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Believe in your DREAM.
- TAKE RISK, as long as they aren’t for the sake of others.
- Find a good accountant.
