Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Bobbi Kahler, Founder of UnYielded Media, located in Grand Lake, CO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is now primarily focused on my podcast, UnYielded: Thriving No Matter What, where we explore how to work on our inner game to get the results we want in our outer game. I've been a coach for 20+ years, and I've coached more than 3000 people, so I have taken that experience, and I'm sharing my knowledge, tools, and best practices with my listeners so they can coach themselves and elevate their own happiness, well-being, and success.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business in 2000 because I loved helping others develop. I've been a professional speaker, facilitator, coach, and podcaster, and I've been blessed to help tens of thousands of people. Helping people move past their limitations and unleash their true and highest fullest potential and happiness is what motivates me every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I've had a lot of great accomplishments. I've been trusted with million-dollar projects, my podcast is ranked in the top 5% of podcasts, and I've helped thousands of people. But, my biggest accomplishment is when I receive a note or an email from someone to let me know how something that I've shared has helped them to live a better life and to be happier.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

It can be lonely at times. I used to work in a busy office, and I had a lot of friends there, and we would often go out to lunch together. When you are on your own, you have to work harder to stay connected. The other way that it can be lonely is that not everyone understands the life of an entrepreneur.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Invest in yourself about everything else.
  2. Trust yourself. You are more capable than you realize.
  3. You can learn whatever you need to learn along the way.
