What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a somatic practitioner helping humans heal through and with their bodies using a multi-modal approach. I work in one-on-one, group, workshop, and retreat dynamics.
Tell us about yourself
I believe that experience plus education equals expertise. I have always wanted to help others, and after surviving some devastating life experiences, I shifted my life toward a service of well-being. The capacity I have and get to heal to is the sacred and supportive container I invite others into for their own self-healing journey.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Taking the leap! I left the corporate world as the pandemic hit, there was so much fear that could have shrunk me back into staying, but I bet on the gifts I have to offer this world instead and won! The next greatest accomplishment is holding the space I get to, walking alongside, and watching humans transform their lives.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The gifts we are given to give to this world don't come with a price tag, so it can be tough to navigate what and how to charge for service. My advice is to find your edges, trust in your gifts, and believe in yourself! Another challenge can be time and energy boundaries; they are a must in the wellness space!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Do your own work consistently and committedly, and understand firsthand the client experience. Honor your values and truth, practice and stay embodied, and follow your intuition - it is always right. Go gently, but keep going; I am rooting for you!
