HopefulBuilder Creative - Tu Long

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Tu Long, Founder of HopefulBuilder Creative, located in Maple Ridge, BC, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

HopefulBuilder Creative is a boutique-website agency based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We create unique websites for entrepreneurs ready to take their businesses to the next level. We also help coaches, creators, and consultants build their online courses.

We work with small businesses and entrepreneurs who want to establish their online presence aligned with their business goals, who they are, what they do and tell their story through strategic design.

Tell us about yourself

I love designing websites and technology the way you love coffee. Or spring rolls. Or working out. Or whatever it is that you're obsessed with. I love all those things too, but my real passion is working with business owners like you to create websites that connect with your visitors, attract your ideal client and show off the expert you are to get accurate results for your business.

I understand that building a brand and website can be very overwhelming. You are working with your clients and are responsible for marketing, administrative tasks, and so much more. There's never enough time in the day to get it all done — let alone worry about your website or how to build an online course. That's where I come in.

My superpower is getting to the heart of your business, helping you turn your knowledge to profit, and designing a website that looks good and enables you to grow your business.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is finding what I love: helping business owners with a strategic and beautiful website built that brings them clients and allows them to turn their passion into profit with online courses. And I do these for a living.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing is the importer syndrome, where I constantly question myself about who I am doing this. Have self-doubt all the time.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. It is something you can't stop thinking about. It's something you must do.
  2. Self-doubt will be a part of your journey as an entrepreneur, and don't let it hold you back. Everyone has a unique gift that the world needs, so people out there need your skill.
  3. Find your tribe. Surround yourself with a group of liked-mind people who are supportive and lift you. You will be motivated and inspired to do great things with this group. Find them and hang out with them.
