Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Terry Bean, Founder of TRYBEAN, LLC., located in White Lake, MI, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I focus my time and energy on helping business professionals connect better to the people, ideas, and opportunities they need to grow. Most of my customers are small business owners with 5-40 employees, except for training which I provide for Fortune 500 clients.
Tell us about yourself
Being of service. I have built a wealth of knowledge and network over the past 25 years. Helping people by leveraging those assets brings me great joy.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Not sure if it's the biggest, but helping a client achieve an 8 figure exit last year was pretty rewarding.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As a one-man show, it's always about properly managing priorities and, in return, letting some things fall through the cracks. The feeling that you're never really done.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Build your network before you need your network.
- Test to see if you have a product-market fit before investing too much time and money into your product development.
- Realize that customer experience is everything, as they are your best source for future business.
