What's your business, and who are your customers?
I help women who cannot say "no" in their personal or professional lives and consequently feel resentful and angry be able to: stand up for themselves and set boundaries without feeling like a bitch feel empowered and good about themselves, and reclaim their own lives without guilt or regret.
Tell us about yourself
I reinvented myself by finally being able to say "no" to others and "yes" to myself. In doing so, I enabled myself to leave a 32-year-long unhappy marriage to a narcissist, write a book and start my own business. I realized that many of my clients and friends suffered from the same malady, which led me.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Witnessing the growth and changes my clients have been inspired to take by working with me via my book, my coaching, or my programs and workshops.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As a small business owner, doing many things that are not in my wheelhouse, such as mastering technology and bookkeeping!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Recognize that starting a business means growing a business, which means it takes time.
- Realize that being a business owner causes you to grow and evolve in business and personally.
- It's not how many times you fall down but how many times you get back up that makes a difference, so you need to Believe in Yourself!
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
You are never given a dream without the ability to make it come true. Start a business because you're inspired to do so - not to please anyone else. Success is assured if you truly believe that your service/business helps people and that it would be a disservice not to do it for yourself and your customers.
