What's your business, and who are your customers?

Trevl is the home of Survey Evolved Travel. The platform is a hand-curated global travel platform that enables automatic trip dream design and booking enhanced with a survey. Trevl enables consumers to dream and create traditional types of travel as well as trips letting people give, learn, digital nomad, eco-friendly, and more instantly. The world is at your fingertips with survey-evolved travel. Trevl is for everyone tired of using 40 sites to design and book a trip.

Tell us about yourself

Exploring and traveling is my passion but planning a trip I want to take with the current tools is insanely challenging, especially if you are trying to avoid the obvious tourist options. During my first trip to France, I only booked the first two nights of a two-week trip because I wanted to ensure I liked the vibe and neighborhood. This was even with people from Paris involved in helping me plan. Hilarious but sad. Many travelers struggle in the same way and book and cancel or don’t travel at all. We are building something to solve that.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Bringing together the content providers into a community is such a huge win. Part of the purpose and ways people can design a trip is by giving back and volunteering. We are bringing on a Board Advisor to support that helping us leverage technology to have a huge impact on communities.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Being thoughtful about your time and finding the right balance between what you focus on is challenging but rewarding to navigate.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. You are never given a dream without being given the opportunity to make it happen; you may have to work for it, however.
  2. Be thoughtful about what you launch and ask yourself. Is this your “Right It”? Are you willing to live it and follow all possible wild rides it takes you?
  3. Don’t try to do everything yourself; remember that part of being a leader is empowering others and building a beautiful and passionate team.
