What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am running a digital marketing agency for coaches and consultants where we provide unlimited marketing for a fixed monthly subscription. Once they subscribe to our plan, they don't have to hire or pay anybody else. Even if they need an extra website for promoting their business/event, we will get it done without any extra charge.
Tell us about yourself
I started my career as a web developer. Then I started growing interest in Marketing. I worked in a French company with their marketing team. After that, I worked with coaches as a marketing consultant, and they needed a lot of technical and marketing help, I understood. I started building a small team to help them. And it grew into a company. It's always the feedback and praise from our clients that motivates me to do this.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Building a core team as enthusiastic as I am about the business, I would say. There would be ups and downs, and it's my team who motivates me to do more when I am down.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
For me, it's the work-life balance. I get super excited about new projects and challenges. And this used to affect my personal life.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be a specialist. Focus on solving a particular issue for a particular group of people.
- Make sure you have a backup fund to run the business for at least 6 months without any revenue.
- It's okay to copy successful entrepreneurs and business models.
