Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and fitness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Ken Sylvan and Bharat Oza, Founders of Transformation Mentorship, located in Pickering, ON, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Our business was founded on our system of Stress-Reduced Fat Loss™,  which is finding solutions to stressors hormonal, digestive, stubborn body fat, sleep, gut health, etc.). Using nutrition, supplements, lifestyle, and movement to heal the system. When the body heals, there are always cosmetic side effects. We teach these systems to strength coaches, personal trainers, nutritionists, and professionals. And certify them to become Stress-Reduced Fat Loss™ PRACTITIONERS. Our clients are students, trainers, etc., that feel stuck in their businesses. Meaning they are unsure of how to create holistic transformations with their clients. As well as they are unsure of how to handle many issues their clients bring. They are unsure what to do to get their clients unstuck.

Tell us about yourself

My business partner, Bharat Oza, and I saw how our Stress-Reduced Fat Loss ™ System helped clients. And we wanted to help more coaches understand this as well!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping hundreds of coaches help their people heal, transform and love their bodies. Help coaches keep their businesses open and increase business. Feel more confident as coaches.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Carrying the load mentally. No one understands what you are going through. Others will have an idea, perhaps. But your business is yours. Only you truly know.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Find a coach that has done what you want to do. Work with them.
  2. Build a team around you that cares about your business and its success. Those you can trust, as you can't teach that.
  3. Have a plan. Build fun into your life plan. Use work as a vehicle for fun. Then you will never want to run away and leave it.
  4. Bonus: Be the specialist in your niche. Be the master of one area first. Study with masters to become one.
