What's your business, and who are your customers?

We offer loose-leaf organic tea blends. Our customer base is primarily people looking for health-driven alternatives.

Tell us about yourself

I think my desire and love for tea started when I was very young. My dad was born in England, and tea time was always a part of my culture growing up. It was a time when you could escape and enjoy quality time with your family. When COVID hit, I began doing extensive research on healthy alternatives. Things that would not only uplift the spirit in dark times but the body as well. I was putting together blends for various reasons. I started with the basics, immune support, sleepy time, and energy. As time progressed in 2021, my brother and mother-in-law were diagnosed with 2 different forms of cancer. My mother-in-law had a very aggressive form, so I began researching strong anti-inflammatory options, finding things like licorice root, ginger, turmeric, etc. It drove me to build blends that could help combat diseases like cancer. I was meeting people through our local farmer's markets who heard tea helped with blood pressure, sinuses, cholesterol, etc. I knew as time went on that this was more than just a beverage enjoyed around the family table. People were looking for something in tea, so I decided to push for more, finding and blending ingredients to get the perfect flavor to uplift the body, mind, and soul.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I think my biggest accomplishment as a business owner is to just grow with the community, meeting new amazing people every day and hearing their stories, why they're drinking tea, and helping find the blend that fits perfectly for them.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Uncertainty is definitely one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner, you don't have a steady income, so you rely on growth and community to uplift you.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Face the fear, make the jump, and do something that you love.
