What's your business, and who are your customers?

I run a coaching business called Business Analysis Mastery, where I help beginners and career changers transition into the role of a Business Analyst, so they can earn excellent salaries, add value to their employers and make a difference in their lives.

Tell us about yourself

I knew I could help people learn from my skills, and I made a promise to help a hundred thousand people elevate themselves from low-level jobs to high-paying ones with prospects for growth. Every time I think about those I have helped, who have made a difference in their lives, I find that I am inspired to do more. Everybody I can help is one person closer to my goal. The joy of seeing people achieve this goal is one reason I keep doing it, the reason I jump out of bed in the morning.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping over 100 people to learn the skills to allow them to transition into a new high-paying role. Seeing them get those roles and being successful on the job gets me energised and excited every day.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Sometimes you get paid last, and no one knows what you are going through because you have to show up at your best every time.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be clear about who you want to serve, and serve them to the best of your ability; money loves value. Be clear about how you want to serve them; this will help deliver consistent value and gain the trust of your buyers. Be clear about why you are in business; you will need the why for the tough times.
