What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are an online commercial real estate brokerage training and education. Our customers are commercial Real Estate practitioners, including brokerage owners, managers, agents, and new hires all across America and Canada.
Tell us about yourself
There is no college degree that teaches how to succeed in CRE, and nobody in an agents market service area is going to teach them all they need to know to become successful. I know this because I was a CRE broker for 17 years, 10 of which I owned and operated a successful CRE brokerage in San Francisco. As I developed in-house training and education for my agents, other companies were hungry for the content. I partnered with an experienced corporate trainer to script and record video training with supporting manuals. I discovered a love for teaching and became a successful trainer on the national stage.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
To have personally taught and trained thousands of agents nationally, in Canada, and abroad, and helped thousands more with my recorded materials over the past 22 years. I have worked with all the major brands, CRE company networks, and independently owned firms in every state.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Learning how to delegate, even when we think we can do it faster and better ourselves.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Develop patience and self-discipline.
- Study leadership and motivational methods.
- Intentionally learn something of value every day, without fail.
