What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is Foritutde Life Coaching. My customers are women who are transitioning through divorce or as empty nesters. I love coaching anyone through life transitions.
Tell us about yourself
I have a degree in Family Counseling and am an actual Basketball and tennis coach. Coaching is very natural for me.
Two things motivate me. First, as long as there is time on the clock (you are still breathing), then you have hope that you are still able to fulfill your purpose. Second is fear which is a big factor. My motto is "Let fear be the losing opponent in this moment, day, month, or year."
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Building confidence in my clients as they transition and seeing them stand tall and hopeful! Relationships are the key to coaching well, in my opinion.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Honestly, trying to do all the things as a sole proprietor. It's hard to keep it all going when you really just want to coach clients and write your blogs.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do your research. Make sure you have the right tools for your business.
- Don't be afraid to reach out and ask for help. There are plenty of others out there who love sharing what they've learned. We are so happy to help!
- If it's not your full-time gig, make sure you make time to actually work IN THE BUSINESS instead of always working ON the business. Paramount to not being overwhelmed and discouraged. You are doing this because you love to do it. Don't stop because of the other things that are required.
