What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is Tiny Baked Goods. My customers are individuals in the greater Seattle area who enjoy baked goods.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business after an injury forced a career change. I was very depressed; the only thing that I wanted to do was bake, so I began baking and documenting my trials and treats on social media. The next thing I knew, people were requesting that I make treats for them for parties and events. What motivates me each day is to create interesting flavor and texture combinations to delight my customers.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is surviving the pandemic! I created CAKE CLUB, a subscription cake delivery service, just before the pandemic. It saved my business and is my favorite thing I do!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is navigating things like inflation and fuel prices.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Do it! Start that business; working for yourself is hard and requires discipline and dedication, but it is so worth it!
