Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Tiko Magradze, a business consultant, coach, and mentor based in Brooklyn, NY, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a business consultant, coach, and mentor with 15 years of practical experience in business C-level management. My educational background is diverse - I am a doctor cardiologist and a Master of Business administration, and pursuing my second Executive MBA at NYU Stern Business school - my expected graduation is on January '24.
Tell us about yourself
Thinking about what I'm passionate about, I am putting together all professions, studies, projects, positions, and goals in my life:
- "Gifting time" - this is what I have been doing and will be doing using all possible ways in the future.
- Saving lives - as a doctor.
- Optimizing processes - as a business operational consultant.
- Inventing and creating platforms - as a project manager.
- Teaching shortcuts to successful development- as a mentor and coach.
The main purpose of those activities has always been - "gifting some more time" - the most important and valuable we all need.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have executed three projects of crisis management in shopping centers, created two innovative logistics platforms, and consulted up to 100 women entrepreneurs in Georgia.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business consultant and strategic planner is to ensure having the same communication language with the client, sharing the same goals, same values, and same development strategy with the employer despite the business industry, culture, and complexity of the case.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Ask, ask, and ask - as many questions and as many opinions as possible. Work on the gaps, be as perfect as possible, and never let any "NO" on your way demotivate you; otherwise, you might stop right in front of the last door to the biggest success.
