What's your business, and who are your customers?
Thrive Therapy Studio is a group practice where we provide therapy services to children, teens, and adults in San Diego. We love working with parents, children, teens, and families with a variety of different challenges. We are a team of 8 therapists, so we can support many different people!
Tell us about yourself
I started Thrive 6 years ago after noticing the need for more therapy services in San Diego. I wasn't able to take on more clients myself, so I wanted to be able to work with other talented therapists who could help support our community. I am motivated each day to help our community, clients, and our team makes changes to help individuals and our world be a better place.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Honestly, I think the more we expand our team, the better we serve our community. I am really proud of what we have built and being able to help as many people as we do!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I think managing expectations in business is really tough, as well as juggling the needs of our practice with the needs of the community.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Choose something you are passionate about.
- Look before you leap and find out more about the kind of business you want to run prior to jumping in.
- Take time to enjoy each accomplishment and try not to get too focused on the big goals.
