What's your business, and who are your customers?

Three Wishes is a better-for-you breakfast cereal that's high in protein, low in sugar, gluten and grain-free. We made this cereal for our family, but it's perfect for kids of all ages – meaning anyone and everyone who misses the nostalgic cereal of their youth and is looking for something better.

Tell us about yourself

After I had my first son Ellis, I sought wholesome foods to feed him at breakfast. When I didn't find what I was looking for, I made it myself. Feeding my family and our growing family of loyal customers keeps me motivated each day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is being able to walk into thousands of stores nationwide and see my cereal on the shelves. And, of course, when my kids ask for Three Wishes at breakfast.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Building a business is truly a rollercoaster. One of the toughest parts is when things go wrong, and you have to problem-solve while simultaneously growing your business and always staying optimistic.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Make sure you're creating a solution for a real problem. Once you set your mind to it, don't let anyone tell you no – as cliché as it sounds, you can truly accomplish anything you set your mind to. And never lose sight of your mission and why you started.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Being an entrepreneur is one of the scariest and most rewarding journeys one could go on.
