What's your business, and who are your customers?
TheraXyte BioScience is an innovation-motivated biotechnology company focusing on extracellular vesicle (EV)-mediated drug delivery and EV-based novel therapeutics. The goal of TheraXyte is establishing an EV-based drug delivery platform with multifunctionality that could fulfill the upcoming challenges of various therapeutic applications, driving EV research from lab bench to bedside, and making positive impacts on human health by overcoming the unsolved challenges with novel EV-based therapeutics. Our customers work in the field of regenerative medicine and make critical cell therapy cures to shorten a patient's journey to health.
Tell us about yourself
I am curious...to a fault! I believe new innovations, including application solutions, reagents, tool kits, and optimization, can be instrumental to moving the dial as they scale to life science platforms. This impact is easily measured by the speed to market of pharmaceuticals, better biologics, and new delivery methods. The contract research organization is where I committed much of my career, and it continues to motivate me today. CROs are the starting point for scaling many new ideas and de-risking new technologies for pharma and biotech.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My most measurable accomplishment as a business owner has been in the high-quality, high-integrity teams I had the opportunity to build in each of my start-up ventures.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the most difficult obstacles to being a business owner is having the courage to fail.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
