What's your business, and who are your customers?

At TheraTouch Massage, we promote overall well-being by listening to our clients and offering a massage that nurtures both body and mind. Each session is tailored to fit your specific goal. We offer soothing relaxation massages if you are looking for some much-needed "me time." We also are your go-to therapists for more specific work targeting the deeper muscles and fascia or other health and mobility concerns. I offer massage therapy for pain relief and relaxation. Most of my clients are people who suffer from chronic pain, whether it's caused by muscular imbalances, disease, or is emotionally based.

Tell us about yourself

After dealing with chronic pain myself that was primarily due to stress, I discovered how much bodywork helped me. I went to school at the age of 48 to get my license in massage therapy. Being able to help people feel better so they can live their best life is what keeps me motivated. I especially love the connections I make with my regular clients.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Stepping out of my comfort zone to reach people and having a growing client base to support a new office space of my own.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing is the mental energy required to keep on top of business growth. Things are always changing, so being flexible is a necessity that isn't always easy.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be prepared for setbacks and have the flexibility to change as needed.
Take every opportunity that arises, even if it's out of your comfort zone.
