What's your business, and who are your customers?
I offer custom cakes for all events, cake classes to help other bakers develop their skills, and cake toppers. My customers are local people in my community and other bakers from around the country.
Tell us about yourself
I first started my business because I was exhausted from living check to check. I knew something better had to be out there. I was already hustling to make ends meet, so why not hustle for my own business?
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment would have to be being able to pour my knowledge into other bakers and see their businesses blossom. It’s one thing to make your own business boom, and it’s another to guide someone else to do it for themselves.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Time! Time is running out daily; money loses value daily. So I’m in a race to get my time back as much as possible.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Prepare to give it your all without getting much back at first. It stages.
- Stay consistent and confident. Confidence is sometimes more valuable than skill.
- Realize the people who support you are your community. So build the community. Give to the community, and the community will return the favor.
