What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are The Superhero Box, a Brooklyn-based company that makes personalized lunches for students based on each kid's food preferences and needs. Every lunch contains a hot meal and three healthy snacks. All lunches are freshly cooked, packed into reusable lunchboxes, and delivered to schools daily.

Tell us about yourself

I'm a designer with 15 years of experience in branding and product design. I'm also a father with six years of experience packaging school lunchboxes for my son. A year ago, I decided to combine both experiences and start The Superhero Box.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

To see how we are changing our clients' lives, becoming an essential part of their morning routine.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

To wake up at 5 am to start packaging lunches.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

The most important thing is to start doing stuff. You just have to start it. The second one is people. Find someone passionate about the thing you are doing on the same level you are. The third one is sales. You will learn a lot about your business from the first sale.
