What's your business, and who are your customers?
The Sage Executive is an administrative agency in support of the Executive Female. We help women business leaders with the design, development, implementation, and execution of business strategy, business operations, and organizational planning and development initiatives.
Tell us about yourself
I began consulting in 2013 as a response to my family’s need for more of my presence at home. Since 2013 I have been successfully operating my consulting business worldwide while running my household and raising and homeschooling my four boys. What motivates me is the concept that God will provide you with all you need at the right time and helps us to be who you need to be in any given space.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is an ongoing accomplishment of consistently and successfully serving as a trusted advisor to business leaders across the world month after month as a woman, as a mother, and as a wife. Not having to sacrifice my dreams, my goals, or my motherhood to be a successful entrepreneur.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest challenges I have faced as an entrepreneur is consistency. Getting up day after day, through rain, sleet, snow, recession, COVID, and pediatric cancer, to show up for my customers, my family, and myself.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do not go into business alone; at minimum, keep God by your side.
- Extend Grace - to your customers and especially to yourself.
- Don’t let it all be work - don’t forget that entrepreneurship is a journey, one that can be enjoyed.
