What's your business, and who are your customers?
Cap City Tavern is the comfortable gathering place you wish you stumbled into while exploring Denver. Cap City is the sports bar where you watch your favorite team weekly, and you know everyone and everyone knows you. Cap City is a restaurant that cares.
Tell us about yourself
I am Dino McTaggart, son of a restaurant/bar owner. I love to create food, restaurants, experiences. I just love to create.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Overcoming adversity. I declared bankruptcy on my 1st restaurant because I listened to folks tell me I couldn't get a liquor license. The next restaurant that moved into my former space got a liquor license.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The never-ending need a business has. A business is like a plant; you need to take care of it at all times to keep it green and growing.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Learn from your mistakes.
