Tell us about yourself
Hello! I'm Tyra, CEO and Founder of The Posh Organization. I created The Posh Organization with women and mothers like you - in mind. Here's the scoop: Women can do anything, but they shouldn't be doing everything in their business, that is. Especially if they want to have a quality of life and if they ever expect to grow and scale. I help women operate in their zone of genius, only performing monetizing activities and doing the expert-level work they actually enjoy. Outsourcing and delegating the important administrative, marketing, and client-facing tasks required to keep their business operations running like a well-oiled machine - can be left to us. I mean, collectively, we have over 30 years of progressive business administrator, marketing, and technical writing experience. Plus, by working with us, you are gaining a partner—another female boss CEO who has a vested interest in your overall success. We do it from the heart, are intentional, and want to help you to fall in love with your business (and life) again. We are Who We Serve. We are seasoned and experienced businesswomen managing companies and households. We relate to your dreams and goals and provide solutions to your challenges and frustrations.
I am also a wife and mother of two, setting my sights on living out my dream to leave a legacy and family business to my children as a stepping stone to propel multi-generational success. In 2014, I incorporated as Posh Life Enterprise and had an aha! moment and changed the business name to The Posh Organization in 2016. To the surprise of some, TPO was created from my passion for organizing. Yes... Organizing. Organization or the lack thereof affects so many different areas of our daily lives, from our homes to businesses and much more.
I have been affectionately called the linchpin of numerous successful six and seven-figure earning female-owned businesses. I am a self-proclaimed Queen of everything Posh, administrative and advertising enthusiast, and continuing professional organizer. I dropped out of Corporate with more than 12 years of experience supporting C-level business executives in a range of industries. My passion is helping female CEOs rediscover what they love most about their life and businesses again.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
If I had to choose one thing, it would most certainly be our ability to provide value to the female and minority business owners that we serve. I have heard time and time again how grateful my clients are for finally finding a business like Posh to serve not only their business needs, but oftentimes unknowingly personal needs as well. A personalized approach to business and communication, premium experiences and relationship building are highly regarded at The Posh Organization. As a US- based Women and Minority Business Enterprise, we are able to provide a more tailored experience for our carefully selected clientele. What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As a business owner, wife, and mother, finding a healthy balance in order to avoid burnout is the most challenging thing about entrepreneurship. You wear so many hats, setting boundaries and staying in your zone of genius can be quite a challenge when there are tasks that "just need to get done" in your business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Be authentic. Be yourself. That is your secret sauce. Don't get caught up in being like others in your industry. That's what sets you apart. Create boundaries - right from the start. Don't wait until you are knee-deep into business before you start to create boundaries that will protect your time, peace, and sanity.
